Dr. Yin Min Thaung

Dr. Yin Min Thaung oversees the USAID HIV/AIDS Flagship project and the Equip Hepatitis C project in Myanmar for Community Partners International (CPI). Dr. Yin Min Thaung joined CPI in early 2017 after nearly six years as a Public Health Analyst with the National Healthcare Group (NHG), Singapore. At NHG, she oversaw the building and maintenance of the NHG Chronic Disease Registries and led clinical analysis of the chronic disease burden for better planning and resource allocation. Prior to the NHG, Dr. Yin Min Thaung spent three years as the National Health Coordinator for the Asian Harm Reduction Network (AHRN) in Myanmar providing technical support and overall management for AHRN medical interventions. From 2003 to 2007, Dr. Yin Min Thaung worked with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) as a Medical Doctor in Kachin State, and a Health Education & Counseling Coordinator in MSF’s country office in Yangon. Dr. Yin Min Thaung holds a Master of Public Health Degree from the National University of Singapore, and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from the from the University of Medicine 2, Yangon, Myanmar.
