We empower our community partners to prevent new HIV and TB infections, challenge stigma and discrimination, and provide key medical, nutritional, psychosocial and livelihoods support to help people living with HIV and TB achieve and maintain good physical and mental health, and lead fulfilling lives.

HIV/TB Agency, Information and Services (AIS) Activity Period: Oct 2021 - Dec 2026 Donor(s): USAID under the U.S President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the Global Accelerator to End Tuberculosis Prime Organization: Community Partners International Sub-Recipients: Asian Harm Reduction Network, Best Shelter, Community Partners Myanmar, Médecins du Monde, Medical Action Myanmar, Metta Development Foundation, Myanmar Anti-Tuberculosis Association, Myanmar Medical Association, Myanmar Positive Group, PATH, Population Services International, The Union Geographic Coverage: Kachin State, Shan State, Sagaing Region, Yangon Region and Mandalay Region, Myanmar. Project Coverage: Approx. 80,000 people for HIV services and 3,674,600 for TB services. The HIV/TB Agency, Information and Services (AIS) Activity aims to achieve HIV epidemic control by ensuring 95 percent of people living with HIV in Myanmar/Burma are aware of their status, 95 percent of those identified as positive are on antiretroviral treatment, and 95 percent of those on treatment are virally suppressed. It also aims to achieve a Burma free from Tuberculosis (TB) by reaching every person with TB, curing those in need of treatment, and preventing the spread of disease and new infections. The AIS Activity prioritizes service delivery to areas and populations with highest disease prevalence, in coordination with USAID-funded procurements, the Global Fund and Access to Health Fund partners. The Activity will span over 5 years in continuation of the USAID HIV/AIDS Flagship Project and is funded by the U.S President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the Global Accelerator to End Tuberculosis through USAID. To achieve its goals the AIS Activity brings together 12 partner organizations led by Community Partners International as the prime recipient.
USAID HIV/AIDS Flagship (UHF) Project Period: Sep 2017 - Jun 2022 (Phases 1 & 2) Donor(s): USAID under the U.S President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Prime Organization: UNAIDS Sub-Contractor: Community Partners International Geographic Coverage: Kachin State, Shan State, Sagaing Region, Yangon Region and Mandalay Region, Myanmar Project Coverage: Approx. 73,000 members of key populations The goal of the USAID HIV/AIDS Flagship (UHF) Project is to increase the number of people from key populations getting tested for HIV, and to accelerate treatment uptake and retention in five high burden areas: Kachin State, Shan State, Sagaing Region, Yangon Region and Mandalay Region. The UHF Project is expanding current PWID coverage for harm reduction services, methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) and community-based care, and is scaling up innovative HIV prevention service delivery for key populations including pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). The UHF Project is also expanding current PWID coverage for harm reduction services, methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) and community-based care. The UHF project is funded by USAID under the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through UNAIDS Myanmar.
