Community Partners International (CPI) helps vulnerable communities in Bangladesh to access the health, humanitarian and development services that they need to thrive. In partnership with Bangladeshi non-governmental organizations and relevant ministries of the Government of Bangladesh, CPI's programs in Bangladesh encompass health care, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), gender-based violence prevention and clean energy solutions for Bangladeshi communities and Rohingya refugees from Myanmar.
CPI is currently responding to the COVID-19 pandemic in Bangladesh through our Health and WASH programs. Initiatives include:
Establishment and operation of a COVID-19 Treatment and Isolation Facility at Sadar Hospital in Cox's Bazar.
Distribution of hygiene supplies to vulnerable Bangladeshi communities.
Construction of handwashing stations in refugee camps in Cox's Bazar.
Mobilization and training of Rohingya Health and WASH volunteers to support COVID-19 prevention and response in refugee camps in Cox's Bazar.
Training and equipping of personnel for temperature screening points in the refugee camps in Cox's Bazar.
