Donate today to help people in South Asia survive COVID-19.
Right now, tens of thousands of people with COVID-19 in South Asia are struggling to breathe. Hospitals are overwhelmed and oxygen supplies are running desperately short. People are dying in their homes and in the streets.
Community Partners International (CPI) has joined forces with partners including Navya and Direct Reliefto provide vulnerable communities in South Asia with access to lifesaving COVID-19 care. We are focusing on India, Bangladesh, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and other countries affected by the current crisis.
Together, we are delivering essential medical equipment and supplies to help hospitals cope with surging COVID-19 patient numbers and oxygen shortages.
During the initial response phase, we are focusing on sending portable, high-flow oxygen concentrators. We are procuring oxygen concentrators from Inogen at heavily discounted prices. Fedex and Air India are helping to transport units to South Asia free of charge.
In India, distribution is managed by Tata Memorial Center (TMC). TMC has eight centers across India and also spearheads the National Cancer Grid, a consortium of 250 hospitals. Through this network, TMC is focusing on helping hospitals where the needs are greatest.
O2 Concentrators help free up hospital beds and save lives.
One concentrator helps approx. 60 patients per month.
Avoid progression into life-threatening hypoxia.
Keep patients stable as they wait for limited hospital beds.
Oxygen support at home for recovering patients and mild cases.
