We believe in health for allas a human right as the cornerstone for a flourishing Myanmar. We envision a future in which every person in Myanmar has equitable access to the health care and health education they need to thrive and prosper.
Our experience in Myanmar proves that when communities own and lead their own health solutions, their health services are stronger, more resilient and more effective. This is particularly true for communities affected by conflict and violence, those in remote rural areas and struggling with marginalization and discrimination.
We support underserved communities throughout Myanmar to access to quality care and enable communities to articulate their health care priorities. We provide evidence-based recommendations to the Myanmar Ministry of Health and Sports (MoHS) to strengthen the national health system to be an inclusive, accountable and quality service provider. Through research, we partner with civil society organizations and communities to gather evidence that identifies essential health programs and participate in national health policy reform.
Through our principled approach of transparently working with governmental, civil society and non-state actors in conflict zones for nearly 20 years we remain committed to creating an equitable, affordable, and quality health system for all people in Myanmar. We believe this will be fundamental to Myanmar's ambitious goal to achieve universal health coverage by 2030.
